Tenacres Tours is a small family business set up and managed by myself,
Sharon Halford,
a sixth generation Falkland Islander. We specialise in 4 x 4 tours both on
road and off road cross country. We also run a small farmhouse style bed
and breakfast.
I am a
Falkland Island Tourist Board accredited tour guide. During the summer season I drive on tours and especially
enjoy the cross country driving.
'Tenacres'
is the name of our home which we built ourselves in the early 1990's and is
situated on approximately 10 acres of land on the outskirts of Stanley, our only
town.
John,
my husband, who was originally from the UK but made his home here many years
ago, maintains the vehicles and occasionally helps out with the driving.
Natalie,
my cousin and a sixth generation Falkland Islander, also helps out with the
tours when required and deals with correspondence in my absence.
Rene,
my mother, helps out with the Bed and Breakfast side of the business when I am busy with tours.
When
numbers dictate we call upon other driver/guides to assist us.
